The Challenge
PH 62 produces gritty, authentic photos and videos that capture the dive bar experience for the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour.
The essence of the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour is to connect chart-topping artists with their audience in the most intimate setting… a packed dive bar. Dim, colorful stage lights, time worn textures, graffiti-filled bathroom stalls, loud music and the taste of frosty Bud Light. For those who are there, it is an all-encompassing, multi-sensory experience. Multiple years of the Dive Bar Tour executions added a more diverse line-up of artists at more venues and cities around the country. While it may not be possible to make an ad smell like stale beer, our Denver-based storytelling company certainly had a few tricks up its sleeve to bring that gritty feel and dive bar authenticity to the Bud Light Dive Bar Tour.
Locations
Not all dive bars are created equal. From the Music Festival activations at
Firefly, Lollapalooza and Govball to real dive bars in Nashville and San Francisco, our Denver-based video production company delivered a unique atmosphere and look authentic to each artist and location we visited.
Techniques
Super 8 video – creates that feeling of nostalgia. Film grain well… provides the grain. We think grain is good.
Polaroids – A way to capture a moment in time. You plan your shot, shoot and wait. It could not be more different from trying to take a perfect selfie. Thirty shots are taken in rapid succession, the photos are reviewed, the photos are hated, the process is repeated – until the perfect fake ‘candid’ moment is achieved.
In the end, our Denver-based storytelling company has captured the essence of that dive bar experience…and you swear you can smell the stale beer.
