PH 62 goes the extra mile to create cinema-quality storytelling videos that evoke the archival NASCAR footage of bygone days.

“Rubbin’, son, is racing.”

We think there’s a lot of truth to the advice Harry Hogge gave Cole Trickle in “Days of Thunder.” Nothing good in life comes easy and NASCAR didn’t just pop up out of nowhere.  Stockcar racing began with bootleggers trying to evade the police. Nowadays it’s a field of 40 stock cars running inches away from each other pulling the same amount of G-forces that a fighter pilot feels.

The Idea

Our Denver-based creative video production studio is bullish on NASCAR and, as this case study shows, believes it deserves the same quality of cinematography and storytelling as that ‘other’ sport played on Sundays.

The work

Using cinema-quality cameras and lenses, our talented shooters know where to be to nail scenes that NASCAR audiences have never seen or heard before. We also rely on Super 8 film cameras to match the style of the archival footage of bygone races. Watching Super 8 footage of Joe Logano do his championship-winning burnout immediately connects the viewer to the sport’s deep-rooted history.

The impact

“Made In America” didn’t just unlock a new generation of Budweiser drinkers – it redefined what it meant to be an American icon. The festival continues to be a must-see event each year, and has since grown on a global scale – spreading and revitalizing the real-deal American pride Budweiser stands for.
